Aubert Films Featured on Wedding Bee Pro Blog

weddingbeepro1

Bill Gaff, a blogger over at Wedding Bee Pro, recently saw Mariah and Doug’s short form edit (click here to see their trailer) that comes with regular Aubert Films Coverage and asked me if I’d be willing to have it featured on the blog. Of course I said yes! He just posted it wedding bee prothis morning and you can check out the article AND the short form edit by clicking here.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

This week I am thrilled to feature Darrell Aubert of Aubert Films for a behind the scenes look into some this amazing filmmaker’s wedding work.

I first saw this clip  a few weeks ago and immediately wanted to feature it on Weddingbee Pro.  I love this clip. Darrell captured many absolutely beautiful moments but the one that moved me the most was the letter exchange sequence about three minutes into the piece. Darrell really shows such a sensitivity to the subtle but powerful emotions of the day.

Darrell is a filmmaker who has the amazing ability to adapt his style to the needs of the film and the couple. I have seen his wedding films go from edgy and fun to honest and intimate.  He is an incredible talent.

I asked him to tell us a little bit about how he approached the making of this film…

Angel and Mike’s Wedding Trailer - Aubert Films Light

Angel and Mike are a great couple that were referred to me by the very talented, Doll Face Studio. They chose to go with my Aubert Films light package that I only recently introduced. Their ceremony took place in downtown Philadelphia at the Saint Peter Basillica on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It’s a great place to shoot with beautiful paintings, stain glass windows, and artwork. Their reception was held at the Independence Visitors Center right across the street from the Liberty Bell. It’s a cool little place that I didn’t know existed until I got to shoot there for Angel and Mike’s wedding.

Anyways, check out their Philadelphia Wedding Video. Make sure to leave some comments!

Featured on Another Videographer’s Blog

mauriceblog

I constantly try and improve the quality of my videos through new technology, new techniques, and more education. To help do this, I belong to a number of wedding videographer online forums where people discuss ideas, share videos, and generally try to become better at what we do. Over the years I’ve developed a lot of “online friendships” that turn into real life ones. One of those people is Maurice O’Carroll (Who is also one of the Top 25) from Tralee, Ireland. We actually became such good friends that I flew him out to shoot a wedding with me earlier this year.
A few weeks ago, Maurice dropped me an email informing me that he and his fiance, Elaine, finally picked a day for their wedding and that they want ME to shoot their wedding video! How awesome is that? It’s quite an honor to be hired by another videographer and I’m humbled that he would choose me to capture such an important day!

Maurice posted a little write-up about me and my friend Glen (who is shooting the wedding with me) over on his blog. He’s trying to bill us as “rockstar videographers” from America. Haha, Yeah Right! A total scam if I’ve ever heard one! :)  :)  :)
