Geoff and Noel’s Wish Upon a Wedding Love Story
At Aubert Films, we believe in making films that emote powerful emotions. We want our clients to watch their film and be able to re-experience the same feelings they had on their wedding day. When the Philadelphia Chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding asked us to film the love story of their first couple, we wanted to make a film that told the entire emotional story of these two people who are very much in love.
In case you don’t know, Wish Upon a Wedding is a national charity organization that grants weddings to couples where the bride or the groom is stricken with a terminal illness. They do this through the donations of volunteer companies, like Aubert Films. You can check out past weddings and love stories by clicking here.
Going into the shoot, we really didn’t have much information about the couple or their story so it was difficult not knowing what to expect. But when we finally met Geoff and Noel, I knew they were the perfect couple. The love they have for each other, even in the face of such difficult times, is so deeply touching. The entire shoot, it radiated out from both of them like a soft glow that touched everyone involved in the shoot. You could literally feel it in the air as it ebbed and flowed throughout the shoot.
I wanted that radiance of love to be replicated in the film. I wanted Geoff and Noel and anyone watching it to experience that love the same way we experienced it on the shoot. When I was editing this film my assistant was behind me, watching it as I worked. At one point I turned around and saw her tearing up. “They’re just so perfect,” she whispered as she wiped away a tear. I hope you feel the same way when you watch this special love story for two amazing people, Geoff and Noel.
P.S. – It was great working with photographer Cindy Guessford as she did one of her Beloved session with Geoff and Noel. She is an amazing individual and an equally amazing photographer. Check out her shots from Geoff and Noel’s session by clicking here.
Special thanks goes out to Mark Kingsdorf and Rebecca Richman of Queen of Hearts Consulting for their involvement. Pat Ambrosius of The Pragmatic Planner as well! Thanks so much to all of you!

HD Format War Finally Over!

For those of you who have been following the HD format war between Sony and Toshiba, one side is poised to claim victory. This past week Toshiba ceased all production on their HD-DVD format clearing the way for Sony’s Blu-Ray format.
So what does this mean for you, my clients? Anyone who buys the HD option for any Aubert Films productions can now receive an actual HD copy of their wedding. Until now, this was not feasible but with Blu-Ray poised to become the standard I can now deliver these discs to you. Anyone interested in adding HD to their package, contact me for more details.
Welcome to the new site!
Welcome to the new site everyone! As you can tell I merged both my website and my blog into a one-stop shop. I hope you all love it as much as I do!
I’m still recovering from the awesome time I had down in Orland at Video 08 last week. It was definitely one of the best conventions I’ve been to in years! I had a blast hanging with all my friends and the shorts and t-shirt weather was excellent!
While I was done there I was one of the lucky few to be honored on this year’s Top 25 list by Event DV magazine. I’m really proud to be on the list, especially to hold the title of being the youngest person to ever be voted on Top 25. I want to thank everyone who voted for me!
Also in Orlando I hosted a seminar called “Trash the What?” on Thursday. The hour long talk was all about the new trends within the wedding industry and how to make money off of them. My main focus was Trash the Dress, or TTD. The last 15 minutes was a great discussion group between the 80 or 90 attendees about how to use these trends. At the very end of my seminar I read a fantastic letter sent to me by one of my TTD brides, Karen Jennings (read it here). It probably is one of the most touching letters I’ve ever received and several people came up to me afterwards and told me they had teared up while I was reading it.
Anyways, there is a lot of cool stuff I will be posting within the next 2 weeks so stay tuned!!
For those of you coming here who attended my seminar, here is the “Paint the Dress” video I was showing.
Top 25!
