Whitney & Todd’s New Jersey Wedding Video Trailer at the Westin
At Aubert Films, we always pay special attention to the tiny details of a wedding because we believe those are the areas that make a wedding unique. We especially love when couples add their own pictures and decor to their wedding like Whitney and Todd did. Whitney and Todd’s wedding took place at the Westin in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Everything from Whitney’s shoes, which had both Whitney and Todd’s names on them, to the old photographs and vintage suitcases really reflected their personalities. Another amazing addition to their wedding day was their new baby girl who came just a few weeks before.
We had an awesome time working with photographers Siobhan and Paolo of Dollface Studios who always amaze us with their stunning photos.
Sarah and Rob’s Cape May Wedding Film at The Southern Mansion
Despite the intense heat wave, Sarah and Rob’s intimate Cape May wedding at The Southern Mansion was a great occasion. One thing we noticed when we met Sarah and Rob was they were a very laid back couple. Sarah loved to crack jokes and even started doing yoga while she was getting ready. It was so unique to see a bride break out into a yoga session that I knew when it happened, it would have to be included in the film.
Even though the ceremony was short and sweet, the officiant had many thoughtful things to say throughout and it was clear that there was a strong connection between Sarah and Rob. One of my favorite parts in the film is Sarah and Rob’s first dance. They were so involved with one another that it seemed as if they were the only two people in the world.
It was a great time and it was especially awesome working with photographer Amanda Young, Synergetic Sounds, and wedding planners Rebecca Richman and Kristen Park at Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants. Click here for more pictures and a blog post about this wedding.
Geoff and Noel’s Philadelphia Wedding Video at Swarthmore College
We were especially excited at Aubert Films to shoot Geoff and Noel’s Philadelphia wedding video so when that day finally came, we were ready. We first met Noel and Geoff through Wish Upon A Wedding when we filmed their Love Story. Wish Upon A Wedding is a charity organization that grants weddings to couples where either the bride or the groom are suffering from a terminal illness. If you missed it, you can read the blog and watch the Love Story here.
The wedding was located at Swarthmore College in Philadelphia. The campus was beautiful, and we were even lucky enough to have an unseasonably warm day for the occasion as well. But my favorite part of Geoff and Noel’s wedding day was their vows. Geoff and Noel wrote some of the most beautiful vows I’ve ever heard. It wasn’t hard to incorporate all the emotions into the film because on both of their faces, you could clearly tell what they were feeling; pure happiness. Something very unique about this couple is they when they talking to each other, it is almost as if they are in their own world. They are completely wrapped around each other, smiling, and giggling and you can see that what they have together is definitely worth calling special.
It was an awesome experience working with photographer Cindy Guessford, as well as Tonia Arsenault of Aribella Events
Alan and Caterina’s SDE at The Palace at Somerset Park
One of the most rewarding experiences of being a wedding filmmaker is seeing the reaction of the couple and their loved ones as they watch their wedding film or a same day edit depicting the exact emotions they felt on their wedding day. It’s a contagious and enjoyable feeling that is brought up every time a film is watched for the first time by a client.
During the ceremony, the most emotional moment for me is when Caterina is walking down the aisle and we quickly see Alan wipe a tear away from his eye. Caterina looks amazingly beautiful and the bright light behind her when she walks in just emphasizes that. However, my favorite scene in the entire film is when a shot of the wedding guests clapping pans upwards towards Caterina and Alan walking down the steps for their first entrance as husband and wife. We then see the couple dancing to their first dance as a large group of family and friends huddle around them to watch. Caterina and Alan were surrounded by so much support and love from their families and we feel that this particular shot sums that up.
It was awesome working with photographer Danielle Hopkins.
Geoff and Noel’s Wish Upon a Wedding Love Story
At Aubert Films, we believe in making films that emote powerful emotions. We want our clients to watch their film and be able to re-experience the same feelings they had on their wedding day. When the Philadelphia Chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding asked us to film the love story of their first couple, we wanted to make a film that told the entire emotional story of these two people who are very much in love.
In case you don’t know, Wish Upon a Wedding is a national charity organization that grants weddings to couples where the bride or the groom is stricken with a terminal illness. They do this through the donations of volunteer companies, like Aubert Films. You can check out past weddings and love stories by clicking here.
Going into the shoot, we really didn’t have much information about the couple or their story so it was difficult not knowing what to expect. But when we finally met Geoff and Noel, I knew they were the perfect couple. The love they have for each other, even in the face of such difficult times, is so deeply touching. The entire shoot, it radiated out from both of them like a soft glow that touched everyone involved in the shoot. You could literally feel it in the air as it ebbed and flowed throughout the shoot.
I wanted that radiance of love to be replicated in the film. I wanted Geoff and Noel and anyone watching it to experience that love the same way we experienced it on the shoot. When I was editing this film my assistant was behind me, watching it as I worked. At one point I turned around and saw her tearing up. “They’re just so perfect,” she whispered as she wiped away a tear. I hope you feel the same way when you watch this special love story for two amazing people, Geoff and Noel.
P.S. – It was great working with photographer Cindy Guessford as she did one of her Beloved session with Geoff and Noel. She is an amazing individual and an equally amazing photographer. Check out her shots from Geoff and Noel’s session by clicking here.
Special thanks goes out to Mark Kingsdorf and Rebecca Richman of Queen of Hearts Consulting for their involvement. Pat Ambrosius of The Pragmatic Planner as well! Thanks so much to all of you!
Chesapeake Bay Hyatt, Florentino & Graca’s Wedding Trailer
I had the immense pleasure of shooting Florentino and Graca’s wedding this past Saturday at the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt in Cambridge, Maryland. My shooter, Glen, and I arrived early and captured Graca and her bridesmaids getting their hair and make-up done in their hotel suite. Glen then went down the hall and captured Florentino waking up from his nap with his extraordinarily rowdy groomsmen! The ceremony was held outside on the lawn overlooking the marina and the river. It was a beautiful day with a calm cool breeze making the weather that much more pleasant.
I also had the pleasure of working with the awesome photographer, Mark Gardner and his assistant, Erik Matey, at the wedding. There are a handful of photographers that I really enjoy working with and Mark is one of them! When everyone works together like a team, giving each other ideas, we really produce our best work!
I also worked with the team from Make My Day Events out of Rehoboth Beach, DE. Leanne and Casey helped keep me notified of when and where things were happening which is always a huge stress relief. I honestly think that any couple planning a big wedding absolutely needs to hire a planner. The time it saves you and the much lower stress levels are totally worth it!
Anyways, I wanted to share Florentio and Graca’s wedding trailer. They purchased the HD (High Definition) upgrade and will be receiving their wedding on Blu-Ray discs. In the mean time, you can view their trailer video in full HD glory by clicking here. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it!
