Whitney & Todd’s New Jersey Wedding Video Trailer at the Westin

At Aubert Films, we always pay special attention to the tiny details of a wedding because we believe those are the areas that make a wedding unique. We especially love when couples add their own pictures and decor to their wedding like Whitney and Todd did. Whitney and Todd’s wedding took place at the Westin in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Everything from Whitney’s shoes, which had both Whitney and Todd’s names on them, to the old photographs and vintage suitcases really reflected their personalities. Another amazing addition to their wedding day was their new baby girl who came just a few weeks before.

We had an awesome time working with photographers Siobhan and Paolo of Dollface Studios who always amaze us with their stunning photos.

Jennie and Joe’s Love Story & Same Day Edit at Abington Art Center

What I love the most about being a wedding filmmaker is taking the unique characteristics of a couple and incorporating them into their film.  Upon meeting Jennie and Joe, we noticed right away that they weren’t just in love, but they were best friends as well. During the entire shoot, they were both glowing and laughing, and it radiated to everybody else around them. It was noticeable that despite different backgrounds and cultures, Jennie and Joe complement each other perfectly and we wanted that to be reflected in the Love Story.

When editing the Love Story, it was so difficult to pick the best parts of the interview to add because everything was so good! But there was one particular line I knew I had to add to the film. At one point, Jennie says these amazing words, “Despite cultural differences, religious differences, our families come from different experiences, love is something that we all share together and he is so committed to love. I’m committed to that, too.” To me, that sentence sums up Jennie and Joe’s relationship. One of my favorite scenes in the Love Story is when Joe is dancing and Jennie is laughing hysterically even with her back turned. I find that I can’t help but smile every time I watch that scene.

Jennie and Joe’s wedding was held at the Abington Art Center in Philadelphia. In the Same Day Edit, some of my favorite scenes are when Joe meets Jennie halfway down the aisle and they walk together the rest of the way. The way they look into each others eyes really stands out to me in that you can truly feel the emotional connection between them. However, my favorite shot in the entire edit is when Jennie and Joe have just entered the reception and are standing in the middle of all the people who came to celebrate their wedding with them. Everyone is clapping and they both look so overwhelmed with happiness.

Getting to see the reaction of the couple was the most rewarding part of the day for Aubert Films. Tissues were being passed around, and Jennie’s constant teary smile was reassuring. There was so much love at this wedding and it radiated throughout the entire night.

It was great time working with:

Elizabeth and Craig’s Philadelphia Wedding Video at the Cescaphe Ballroom

Elizabeth and Craig were married at the Cescaphe Ballroom on North 2nd Street in Philadelphia. The Northern Liberties area of Philly is such an amazing part of the city and I hope that Elizabeth and Craig’s wedding film reflects that. Something a lot of our clients tell us is that they often never even realize that we are filming. They are so caught up in the emotion of the day that they are focused on only one thing, each other. I feel like you can see this most during Elizabeth and Craig’s first meeting. Both of them are so wrapped up in the moment that they are oblivious to anything else going on around them. That’s true love. Love that is so powerful that it fills the room and can be felt by others.

Elizabeth and Craig’s wedding was photographed by the very talented Danielle Hopkins and was held at the Cescaphe Ballroom.

Melissa and Ben’s Lehigh Valley Wedding Video at Bear Creek Lodge and Resort

Last minute bookings must have been a trend in 2010 because Melissa and Ben found me just a week before their wedding! But I’m not complaining at all! I mean, what’s better than a wedding that is 15 minutes from my house, is on a beautiful August day, and the couple gives me the go ahead to do whatever I want?

Melissa and Ben also hired Karen Jennings for their photography. You might recognize her since she was the bride in out “Paint the Dress” shoot a few years ago. The reception was held at the very cool Bear Creek Resort in Macungie, PA.

Lisa and Goddia’s Key West, Florida Keys Wedding Video Trailer

image2

When Lisa and Goddia first contacted me about a year ago to film their wedding in Key West, Florida, I was beyond excited. They had everything to make the perfect wedding film; a great location, a card exchange, hand written vows, and the officiant was Lisa’s father! But the best thing of all was the love Lisa and Goddia have for each other. I know what you’re thinking, love is something every wedding has. That’s true but how that love is shown, how it is expressed is unique to this wedding. When we were filming their vows, as the sun began to set behind Lisa and Goddia, the emotion was overwhelming. These vows were so powerful, so charged with feeling, that it dawned on me that above the beauty of Key West, the lovely card exchange, and everything else about this wedding, those vows were the climax of the entire day. I knew that any film I created for Lisa and Goddia had to be centered on those promises they made to one another. This is why, in a somewhat different take on my usual trailer films, I chose to use their vows as the central part of the trailer. You’ll notice there is no preparation footage, no card exchange, nothing I would normally include in a trailer because the power of those vows was something I just had to share. Even then I had to cut their vows down to fit into a 2 minute trailer. I cannot wait to share their final film where their promises to each other, all 6 minutes of which, can be heard.

This wedding is up there on my personal list of top weddings we’ve filmed. It’s made a lasting impression on me about what the most important parts of a wedding are and I hope it does the same for you.

Dan and Michelle’s Fonthill Castle Wedding Trailer

dancard2

Dan and Michelle were certainly one of my more unique clients this year. I often refer to them as the “Juno Couple” (keep reading, you’ll find out why). Dan, who is a graphic designer, seems to have a liking for comic books, super heroes, and transformers; as evidenced by the logo he designed for their wedding and his, shall we say, unusual custom vows. Check out their awesome invitations by clicking here. Michelle, not to be outdone by Dan, seems equally interested in the musical whims of the movie Juno since almost every song she suggested is on its soundtrack. Not only that, their first dance song was “All I Want Is You” by Barry Louis Polisar. I think my favorite line from that song is “If you were a castle, I’d be your moat.” Rather interesting, in my opinion, that their wedding was held at a castle. Connection? Unfortunately Fonthill Castle doesn’t have a moat but I digress.
For their trailer, I chose a song I’ve been wanting to use for quite some time. It’s a variation on a song I used a few years ago so it was familiar yet different at the same time. Dan, who is a fan of some scifi shows, might recognize it but I’m betting not. Anyways, enjoy their trailer below! And watch out for their Juno inspired wedding film in a few months!
