It is difficult to choose my favorite part of the film, but I feel that the first meeting conveys both Young and Jennifer’s emotions very well when seeing each other. They didn’t take their eyes off of each other once, but instead intently stared into each others eye’s, smiling and completely involved with one another and ready to finally be married. At Aubert Films, we often times have clients that come from many different backgrounds, so we always make sure to include their traditions and beliefs in their film. Young and Jennifer happen to be Korean, and included a Paebaek ceremony, a Korean tea ceremony, which added some unique touches to the wedding video. We wanted to make sure the natural audio was underneath the Paebaek ceremony because it allows the viewer to understand the rituals involved such as the throwing of chestnuts to determine how many children they will have or the taking the seed from the date.  Jennifer and Young also had a firework show at the end of their wedding day which really gave us a great way to end their film with energy. We had an awesome time working with photographers Siobhan and Paolo of Dollface Studios who always amaze us with their stunning photos.

Granny Schmidt’s is an amazing custom cake bakery in Emmaus, Pennsylvania so when they asked us to make a promo video for them, we were pretty pumped. They never cease to amaze when it comes to their incredible cake designs and we really enjoyed creating a film that takes a look into why Granny Schmidt’s is different than other bakeries in the area.

One of my favorite parts in the film is when Sarah is getting into her dress, and a huge smile lights up on her face, almost as if saying “I can’t believe it’s finally happening!”. Another is when Sarah turns to walk down the aisle with her parents, and Rocky and Sarah both smile at each other. It was a great moment to have incorporated into their film and will hopefully forever remind them of the things they felt on their wedding day.

It was also awesome working with photographer Alison Conklin as well as her husband Geoff, and as always it was a pleasure working with Queen of Hearts Consulting. We can’t wait to work with all of you again.

Besides the vows, some other favorite parts of the same day edit are when Jessica is being handed off by her parents to Jon. Her eyes stay intently on her future husband as she walks towards him. Another is when she mouths the words “I love you” after Jon says his vows. There was a moment where their eyes remained fixed on each other, taking in the moment before they kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

Jon and Jessica’s wedding took place at One Atlantic in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Immediately, it was obvious that these two families were very close with one another and that love was felt throughout the evening. When the time came to show their Same Day Edit,  it was definitely a rewarding experience. Jessica and Jon could not stop smiling and it was a great way to end the night.

It was also a pleasure working with photographers Rebecca and Charlie from Photography by Rebecca.

Even though the ceremony was short and sweet, the officiant had many thoughtful things to say throughout and it was clear that there was a strong connection between Sarah and Rob. One of my favorite parts in the film is Sarah and Rob’s first dance. They were so involved with one another that it seemed as if they were the only two people in the world.

It was a great time and it was especially awesome working with photographer Amanda Young, Synergetic Sounds, and wedding planners Rebecca Richman and Kristen Park at Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants. Click here for more pictures and a blog post about this wedding.

The wedding was located at Swarthmore College in Philadelphia. The campus was beautiful, and we were even lucky enough to have an unseasonably warm day for the occasion as well. But my favorite part of Geoff and Noel’s wedding day was their vows. Geoff and Noel wrote some of the most beautiful vows I’ve ever heard. It wasn’t hard to incorporate all the emotions into the film because on both of their faces, you could clearly tell what they were feeling; pure happiness. Something very unique about this couple is they when they talking to each other, it is almost as if they are in their own world. They are completely wrapped around each other, smiling, and giggling and you can see that what they have together is definitely worth calling special.

When editing the Love Story, it was so difficult to pick the best parts of the interview to add because everything was so good! But there was one particular line I knew I had to add to the film. At one point, Jennie says these amazing words, “Despite cultural differences, religious differences, our families come from different experiences, love is something that we all share together and he is so committed to love. I’m committed to that, too.” To me, that sentence sums up Jennie and Joe’s relationship. One of my favorite scenes in the Love Story is when Joe is dancing and Jennie is laughing hysterically even with her back turned. I find that I can’t help but smile every time I watch that scene.

Jennie and Joe’s wedding was held at the Abington Art Center in Philadelphia. In the Same Day Edit, some of my favorite scenes are when Joe meets Jennie halfway down the aisle and they walk together the rest of the way. The way they look into each others eyes really stands out to me in that you can truly feel the emotional connection between them. However, my favorite shot in the entire edit is when Jennie and Joe have just entered the reception and are standing in the middle of all the people who came to celebrate their wedding with them. Everyone is clapping and they both look so overwhelmed with happiness.

Getting to see the reaction of the couple was the most rewarding part of the day for Aubert Films. Tissues were being passed around, and Jennie’s constant teary smile was reassuring. There was so much love at this wedding and it radiated throughout the entire night.

During the ceremony, the most emotional moment for me is when Caterina is walking down the aisle and we quickly see Alan wipe a tear away from his eye. Caterina looks amazingly beautiful and the bright light behind her when she walks in just emphasizes that. However, my favorite scene in the entire film is when a shot of the wedding guests clapping pans upwards towards Caterina and Alan walking down the steps for their first entrance as husband and wife. We then see the couple dancing to their first dance as a large group of family and friends huddle around them to watch. Caterina and Alan were surrounded by so much support and love from their families and we feel that this particular shot sums that up.

When Matt emailed me saying that he had filmed his proposal, I was so excited to get my hands on it! I knew we had to incorporate it into his film somehow. When we heard his vows, we knew exactly where to use the proposal footage. This moment in the trailer is the most powerful. Even though the engagement shots are not completely clear, we still see the emotion and excitement in both Stacie and Matt. Under this we hear Matt’s powerful vows. If you watch carefully, you can see Stacie whisper “I Love You” to Matt after he finishes his vows.

That’s what it was like for us when we showed Liz and Mike’s Same Day Edit; who’s wedding took place in Washington, D.C. at the Mellon Auditorium (Click here for the Wikipedia page <– Yes you read that right!). My favorite comment that we got on film was “OH MY GOD! That happened like an hour ago!” Liz and Mike were such an amazing couple and it was a pleasure to film their wedding. Their families were fun and engaging too so our entire team felt at home with everyone. I knew for certain that Liz was as cool as a cucumber when she got stung by a bee before she hopped into her dress. No freak-out, no tears, Liz just shrugged it off and got some ice for her hand. Awesome.
